Délice Meeting goes online

May 15, 2020

5 online sessions are proposed in May-June in replacement of the cancelled gathering in Lyon

While the planned gathering in Lyon had to be cancelled for sanitary reasons, the Network is proposing some of it's content through online sessions. These webinars are open to all Délice Network members and their partners.

The 3-day gathering initially planned in Lyon early May intended to present to the Délice Members the new face of Lyon: an innovative, sustainable, tasty & trendy food city. In addition, experts from around the globe were invited to join and discuss how municipalities should govern the transition to more sustainable food systems, with the support of the food industry.

While the gathering had to be canceled for sanitary reasons, the topic is more relevant than ever in the current context. Some of it will be presented to the members during the first Online Délice Gathering early June.

5 sessions of 1h are proposed to the Délice Network members and their partners:

  • Introduction of the Chefs’s Manifesto: Paul Newnham & 3 worldwide chefs will be presenting their views on the future role of chefs in the Covid-19 and general climate change context
  • Food System Dialogues: David Nabarro, WHO Special Envoy on Covid-19 and curator of the Food System Dialogues will present his view on the emergency to rethink food systems in the current context
  • Eyes on Lyon: through interviews, different key players of Lyon will be presenting their vision on how Lyon is transforming as a food city.
  • The usual Best Practice Session for cities to share their interesting projects and initiatives around the Covid19 crisis.
  • Internal Meeting for updates and discussions about the future of the network.
