2016 was an important year for Bordeaux, the emblematic wine city in south-west of France!
The city development strategy is today more than ever focused on gastronomy.
All eyes were on Bordeaux this spring as they hold the 6th edition of “La Fête du Vin”, a large-scale cultural event around wine and culture (June 23rd to 26th) but also after the inauguration of “La Cité du Vin”, the new museum dedicated to wine in the city center.
From November 17th to 19th, a large audience from all over the world was expected to meet and discover how one of the most famous wine capitals promots it’s gastronomy.
The specific topic of this meeting was: “The impact of food and beverage venues on city marketing and economic or touristic growth”.
The program planed some great work sessions based on the experiences of members and external experts.
SO’GOOD Festival was also be a highlight of the Délice meeting. The delegates had the chance to see some of the great activities Bordeaux offered to visitors on local gastronomy.
This key-event of the network provided member cities the opportunity to share experiences and exchange know-how through working meetings and site visits.
